LIVE FISH: JELLYFISH CONCERT LIST

concert-list-logoDust off those ticket stubs and memories! I said I would never update this but the archived version from 1996 has helped enough people that it should probably be back online. This is incomplete (and inaccurate in parts), so if you know of any more shows or corrections, please tell me with a comment here or on Facebook. Shows are in America unless noted. I went to the shows in caps.

  1. after the uk tour there were at least some shows in germany … I was in cologne, Luxor the 22nd of april 93 … have the ticket 🙂

      • I’m afraid so. I was the co-owner of the club and knew B.F. quite well. it *could* have been 91, but it was they were promoting BellyButton and I remember the show very well.
I can go through my old datebooks and find the exact date. Please stand by!

  2. Hi all,
    Just a few additions —

1991 spring dates in Germany were Frankfurt (Music Hall) on May 06, then Hamburg (Schone Aussichten) on May 07, and Munich (B52) on May 08 (info taken from a promo sheet that went with the German Baby’s Coming Back 7″, check it at http://www.45cat.com/record/114267 or here’s the sheet http://images.45cat.com/jellyfish-babys-coming-back-1991-3.jpg).

And here’s the complete footage of the Frankfurt May 06 gig (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxxtXjxUk-M)

1991 Stockholm date took place on May 04 in the Melody club (here’s the review of the gig in swedish http://obladoo.se/blog/musik/valvet/2013/03/04/jellyfish-1991/ though you can easily translate it with google.translate). It says the review was published on May 11, 1991 and the reviewer says Jellyfish played in Stockholm ‘last Saturday’ which automatically means it was May 04. Yeah, simple as that!

    • And so it means they didn’t open for The Black Crowes on May 07, 1991 playing a gig in Hamburg on that night and with a gig on the following night in Munich too. Not sure about May 09, 1991 too, as I still doubt that after a gig in Germany on May 08, the band were having a quick flight over the Atlantic to play in Florida on the following day.

  3. The Katydids were on the bill for the show at the Duchess of York in Leeds on 15th July 1991, but they didn’t play supposedly because it took so long to cram the audience into the venue. Despite the fact that the Duchess held less than 200 people there must have been at least twice as many in the queue. We were the last through the door.

The Lemon Trees opened the show when Jellyfish returned to Leeds in 1993.

  4. i was at the minneapolis show. andy had a great story about touring with the black crowes, and i cant remember it. anyone?

  5. Jellyfish played The Video Bar in Dallas, TX during the Bellybutton tour. Wish I could remember the name of the opening band.
The 2nd encore was the first time they had ever played “Logical Song” all the way through. I’ll never forget the whole club bouncing up and down to the cowbell groove at the end. Magic.

  6. Another Jellyfish show to add – March 29th, 1991 at the 9:30 Club in Washington DC. I have the ticket stub to prove it.
